Fifth Blog: Academic Challenges for 2021

Hello to everyone! ✨🌸

Being already at the end of 2021, almost 2 years into the pandemic, I could say that, from my point of view, this year has been almost the same as its predecessor. For this very reason -and having started university life in 2020-, the academic load and everything that this new stage entails has been affected.

So far for me everything has been a challenge, from the content, which is completely new since I entered the career without knowing much about it; evaluations and schedules, to socializing, stress and the increased responsibility expected of me. But, I think the biggest challenge is having to do everything by myself; I still receive help, but it is an age and stage in which I have to take care of myself. For the same reason, I believe that being at home, in large part due to the world situation, has not allowed me to do it in its entirety.

All this has left me studying from home remotely, which clearly has two sides: on the one hand it is more comfortable to connect to the class, one has all his things at hand and saves possible trips.

But, like everything, it has its negative side. In this case it would be the obvious isolation under which we are, and the fact that the career of Theatre Design can not be studied in any other way than face-to-face, as it relies heavily on teamwork and interaction between its members.

Being more subjective, I liked to a certain extent studying from home, since I am very comfortable (not to say lazy), I liked the fact that it saved me the trip to Santiago. Also for the fact that in my house there is enough space to not feel suffocated being in quarantine, and because the space here allows me to store each and every one of my materials and is where I can work more comfortably. Also, I regularly feel that what is more theoretical can be done via zoom, not necessarily face-to-face.

What I didn't like about it- following on from what I said above- I didn't like the fact that I wasn't there in person, as I don't usually talk to people on social media, or message or call them; so it's hard for me sometimes to work in a group or (if I can) meet up with friends.
I also think I hated having to send emails for everything, or having the internet not working and missing part of class and things like that; it's not very immediate.

Anyway, this process has been difficult, and it's not over yet, but I'm sure I'll get a little better every day.

Thanks for reading 💖
See you soon.

BLOG 2: Why did I choose my career?

Hi everybody! Today I tell you how I ended up here; in the theatrical design career 😦 For the start, I never was confident of what I wanted to be as an adult. I have always been insecure when the people ask me "what you want to be?", because  I avoid the question. I really don`t like this question, because I like so many things, and with the question I feel that I will to do only this thing, and that´s all 😢 It was not a very pleasant situation, because I like to be a lot of things like painter, veterinarian, chef, and more When I finish my high school, I`m still undecided. So, I took a sabbatical year, where I did a pre-university. There, I went to the vocational counsellor. Then, she make me decided the arts for a job or for a hobby. And I choose both, because I can 😎. So, my mom wanted to help me (as always💕), and together we saw a lots of careers, but focus on arts (and some others careers not).  I saw so many options, since physiology, social worker, visual arts, dan...

First Blog: The places I would like to know

The thruth is that I am never had a favorite color, thing, person or place, if i`m sincere. There are so many places and locations that i would like to know. So, i will make a list (a looong list). 1. One of them maybe could be the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha in Brasil. I think it is a warm place, with sunny days, and is a world heritage, and I'm interested in patrimony. 2. Another place could be Denmark, I would like to go to the Kronborg`s castle, another world heritage. And, of course, i canot missing Copenhague and the lake Kronborg, a lake upon the ocean (i really love it). 3. La Toscana, in Italy, is one of the most beautiful regions that i`ve ever seen. Cities with artistic and cultural patrimony (again), like Florencia o Siena, and pretty little towns like San Gimignano o Volterra. Definitely, a place that i really want to go someday. 4. The Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea. It was the residence of the kings of Korea in the Joseon Dynasty, duri...
